Most likely the person being banned is a troll.. To stop a troll, you take away their way of communication. Problem solved.

But in a whole it's is still part of the Forum ability to use Guild section,Skills tool etc. I included Guild section because it one of many ability we have. I didn't want to list everything. So your suggestion is a extension of my suggestion. So i +1 on your idea aswell.

At the start citrinate made it that banned users could not view the forums at all.

He then made it that banned users have more privileges and access to the sites features as he felt the old arrangement was too harsh.

Happy with that answer now? I don't think he has any intention of going back to the old restrictions as he is fine with the way things are now. No mods have complained and the banned users are happy with the arrangement too.

You seem so eager to shut down our suggestion, did we anger you in anyway? If so, my apologies, i didn't realize you didn't care about this site enough to help us build on this suggestion.

The main problem with this forum is the infractions and constant flaming, I just want to help the site improve by making it so banned users learn their lesson and realize they can't say whatever they want, its just a suggestion and we are building off it.

That's a sound argument providing i trust what you say is true about cit having done this system before. So you may be right. Saying that it doesn't hurt to changed his mind if the forum think it's for the best. If enough people support the idea it can be done. But everything start with an idea and became a reality...look at the english patch the Community made together.

I think we should put them in the "stocks thread" where we can laugh at them and throw tomatoes and other metaphorical fruits and vegetables. They would be allowed to post in the thread but with only a single letter which would be "a".

I like this idea

I agree with you, Simmy.

I have been firm believer of this for quite some time now. The issue that people don't care about being banned is false. These people went to the effort of making accounts and posting on the forums, clearly showing that they do take this site seriously.

For example, I love coming on these forums and checking out the latest news and updates the game has to offer. If I were banned, I would severely miss posting and browsing but I would know I did something awful to get into the position am I.

As for using an IP changer to bypass the account registration policy, these accounts get banned sooner or later.

The only thing that should be allowed is if these banned members are part of a guild forum, they should continue to use that as it has no impact on the public forums.

I cast my vote for this idea.

So, i was thinking before when a user got banned they were unable to access the forums at all. Right now when a user gets banned he is able to view all the forums but not post. This really doesn't bother them because they can read everything just not express their opinion.

My suggestion would be if you could make it so banned users are unable to view the public forums, but can only view and post in their own guild forums.

Maybe by doing this the user will watch what they say or do next time so they can't get banned? I don't think it would hurt to try out, but eh give your own opinions to this idea.

I actually agree with this idea, it would probably keep more members from constantly breaking rules, as there would be a harsher penalty for doing such an action.

Yes. 1000x. YES!!!

Please don't attempt to put an imaginary poll in my thread, this thread is more of a thread to build off of ideas from the community, then ask people for votes, thanks.
