Since DBO closed, dbocom lost most of their members ergo harder to get PL, most likely only helpful people can get high PL fast.

I don't understand how someone was promoted moderator and then becomes a perm banned user of the site. Kinda reflects poorly on the decision of making her mod in the first place, don't you think?


Removing our current power level would be silly. Users would feel ripped off. Giving warnings to other users is also silly. If you like you can do that yourself now, just PM them.

However I do agree how users should be able to delete their own threads, I'm not sure how I feel about it being because of our PL though.

There are plenty of helpful users on the forums with relatively low power levels. And as stated before, it would give too much power where not needed. The people with the high power levels already could give 1 thank and increase another's power tremendously. It would be like an online spoils system.

People should have been able to delete their own threads since day 1 this site opened, I don't know why Citrinate never made that a feature. I've been on other forums before where they let you delete your own threads.

I don't like this idea. PL is based on IF someone 'thanks the user' meaning likes their post was useful or liked in some kind of way.

The problem mainly is that some users have high powerlevels and do little to contribute (possitively) to the forum. It just wouldn't be overall smart to give people that kind of overall freedom.

No, it reflects Cit listening to the users. Like Jocer said, Malu was made more as a represenetive for the KR version but her power level had a huge influence on it. An even bigger example is Raditzroom. His position had nothing to do with the fact he played the KR version. At the time he was made a moderator he had one of the highest power levels on the site (I believe Cit was the only one who had a power level higher than him) and EVERYONE said make him a mod. People even said if he didn't become a mod they would leave the site because it would prove the forum is corrupt. Everyone said that because of the fact he had a ridiculously high power level for that time. He ended up being demoted from being a mod as well.

I understand your example of raditz, but raditz and malu are two different people.

The whole community knew she wouldn't be an appropriate moderator lulwut? No one asked for her to become moderator, maybe only jaxill did. It seems to me like you stick up for every decision made for this website no matter if it is a bad or good one. Her being perm banned is proof that it was a poor decision. Just accept it was a poor decision and move on, no need to try and defend whether it was a good one or not.

I don't stick up for every decision and some of the mods can tell you that. Heck, I've called out Cit a few times in the mod forums when I thought he was doing something wrong. As for Malu and Raditz, Malu used Raditz's account probably more than Raditz did. Some people actually did stick up for her to be a mod believe it or not. You're right however, it was a bad decision. I was one of the mods trying to get her off the team (well, every mod pretty much was but still).
