I Had the same problem. After you go into regional options and install the east asia pack. you wanna go to the advanced tab and change the non unicode language to korean. then most importantly, you need to go to the list right below that and find the "extended korean"(this is what its called on my computer) language box and tick it. After that you will be promted to load from your cd again. after youve done that click apply. I did everything but the extended korean and i still had boxes. as soon as i checked that and restarted my game was fixed. If it wasnt for the guide i wouldnt have figured it out, im simply just reiterating what was already said

ok i was just trying to get DBO running on my xp machine. last thing i did was start the download from the rapidshare link. looked away for a few minutes doing something else and when i look back i have all sorts of malware and antivirus popups. After locking up i rebooted and now my computer can't reach windows even in safe mode.... long story short ****. and maybe a bad link at rapidshare.

the torrent i gave is 100% clean,i didnt uploaded on rapidshare and megaupload.I checked torrent file with eset 4 nod 32 antivirus and you all know that its great anti virus,so i am sorry for that,but my link is ok.I am using it. |

Yea I don't doubt this computer had some old virus on it, I hadn't used it since summer and my dumbass ex-roomate was using it then... But anyway I just got windows 7 on here and I reformated, so no viruses =) I have the language pack and my locale set to korea but DBO won't open, I get to the launcher fine, but then after it does the nprotect check thing, nothing loads up and theres not even an error message.

i used the torrent and that was fine maybe you should remove the rapidshare link

munion man listen language pack,language,font all of that has nothing to with starting up DBO.i suggest as many others did reinstall the game and do all of that again.Anyway i clearly stated THIS ONLY WORKS ON WINDOWS XP PRO/HOME i havent tested it on something else so that might be the problem even though it has nothing to do with it. |

If i do this the game only changes to Korean or my whole computer?

only game and it allows you to see korean characters instead of squares.

with vista you should be able to just change your computer region and that should sort it, theres a guide on this site about how to display korean characters you should go look it up.
