Now that I think about it, Trunks (the normal timeline one) and Goten. Both of them are completely undeserving of their strength, are genuinely annoying on top of it. I mean, with Gohan at least, he had to work for his strength to a degree... But overall, they feel like excuses to shove more Super Saiyans into the story. I think it just makes Super Saiyan seem a lot less... special when everyone and their kids can do it.

well trunks and goten are kids after all so its OK for them to goof off..and they did seriously trained hard in the time chamber for SSJ3..and scenes with them are fun
The characters i hate the most hmm that'd be cell i hate him,and the ginyu force, and babidi is on the top of my list.

Eh... I have to agree completely. I've said this before, but I like the concept though. How Future Trunks is the kindest person ever, but also the deadliest and ruthless (take that with a grain of salt). But, normal Trunks is... Well, a douche, and very weak in comparison. But, even Gohan's alternate timeline counterpart was a lot different. =/ I wasn't expecting normal Trunks to be anything like future Trunks. And I think that is good story telling, considering their different histories, role models, ect. His GT form was even pretty fitting, imo. But I especially did not expect him to be able to go ssj at such a young age. They weren't completely pointless characters. But, their presence annoyed me to a certain extent. And, Goten's existence kind of got me angry, considering he came out as a clone. But, since he seemed more like a cute character meant to be a play mate for trunks, it's fine. I can overall say I can tolerate them, until you look at their huge flaws, and Goten's meaningless future counterpart, in GT.

for me the most useless was videl and if we count non canon then icarus

moving on to annoying i would go for chi chi and bulma. My god chi chi you became such a ***** after dragonball. she constantly has gohan do homework which is fine but when the earth is in danger how is school and homework first. seriously if the earth gets destroyed then no school or scholarship. so let gohan train at least a little bit in between school and homework since he already proves he is an A grade level student. hell if he trained on weekends or for just 2 hours after school that would atleast keep his strength from falling too badly. as for bulma she is the most ungrateful person in dragonball. for god sakes woman on namek you were going to ditch goku and piccolo. piccolo protects the earth and you already should know he is not evil anymore and you suggest ditching him. even when the pure gohan says he is okay. also she was going to ditch goku who saved her and helped her since they met. seriously bulma should learn to try and think of others. seriously as i see it if it came down to her life vs a friend she would probably say her own. also her constant praising of her looks is really annoying. only mr.satan can be annoying and entertaining

Mk The most annoying character for me was probably baby from the GT saga since all he did was use other people to fight for him basically and coming after him would be GT goten. I mean seriously goten? Focusing more on girls other than improving your skills? Where has goku gone wrong with you and to add on Cooler and Vegeta just makes me tick when they talk and last but not least is the annoying little big mouthed Gotenks =/ Like we honestly need another egotistical punk other than vegeta e.e

They vary between being entertaining to flat out annoying. I understand that they're kids, but that doesn't mean that I have to like kids. Quite frankly, it's normally the kid characters that get on my nerves the most because I just don't like kids.

And did they train hard or hardly train? That's the question here.

Normal Trunks grew up as a spoiled brat and the heir to a multi-billion Zeni corporation. Of course he's going to be different. The other one struggled to survive.

His GT form was even pretty fitting, imo.

I generally hear that it feels rather off because they try to make the normal timeline's Trunks too much like the future Trunks.

But I especially did not expect him to be able to go ssj at such a young age.

And that's one of the things that bugged me. They were just another way of getting more Super Saiyans into the cast in that respect.

They weren't completely pointless characters. But, their presence annoyed me to a certain extent. And, Goten's existence kind of got me angry, considering he came out as a clone.

Yeah, that was what really bugged me about Goten too. I mean, Gohan's his father's polar opposite. Goku's a naive, dumb mountain man who loves fighting while Gohan is an educated polite young man who keeps his nose in his books and goes to school. And Goten is practically Goku #2. Only he's not as interesting as the original Goku because he doesn't have that naivete. He's just stupid.

Dragon Ball isn't exactly known for it's strong female characters, but honestly, Chi-Chi's just trying to be a parent. She's probably pushing her son too hard, yes, but that probably has to do something with the difference between parenting in Japan and America. It's a lot stricter over there in eastern countries. She's just an education-obsessed parent.

Most annoying of all, for me, probably Yamcha. Or Tien.

They're actually two of my favorite characters. I really loved Yamcha at the beginning of the series especially. He was just so cute with his fear of women. X3 I think it was a really interesting quirk to the character, and if it had stuck around long enough, I would have really loved it.

Tenshinhan has a pretty good character development, even though it seemed rushed. But later on in the series, he seems to be the only person out there who's genuinely noble, and I really like that about him. He's driven by pride, though in a very different sense than Vegeta. It doesn't overlap into an enormous ego, which is the kind of pride I can respect.

Well, Yamcha really did start as a very good character. And, very human. He was a character who started as a thief, then became a loyal, honorable fighter. And, I loved most of his design changes.

But, he became pretty useless. This wasn't a problem at first. Many characters are useless. But, he almost seemed like too much of an underdog. An underdog who never got glory. So, he just became loserish. I enjoyed him because, next to Krillin, he was the more normal Human character we had to represent us. And, I really loved playing him in the games, for his use of true kung fu. He had few fireballs, no special effects. Just whoopass skill. But, this all went to waste. Never favored Tien though.
