If the process is how I assume it is then they actually call the phone and a machine gives you a number. I'm not sure how that would work if they have 60 people all authenticating on the same number. All of the accounts would probably wind up getting banned or worse.

If we really do need to go through this extra layer of authentication to get in then, personally, I'd rather wait for the Japanese release. I currently feel that trying to trick you're way through this wall is almost like playing with fire. I'd also rather not play if there's only a small handful of people who can actually get in.

I think they SMS you the number, not call. If it is SMS then it should be manageable.

well i guess the good news there would be that at least for the japanese release some of us will be able to read a bit more than anybody could with the korean one.

We've got the same problem of many people authenticating on 1 phone though.


Actually, Japanese will be harder to translate. For Korean you can just type it almost like you would in English, but in Japanese if you come across a Kanji you don't recognize you're pretty much screwed (there are ways of figuring it out, but it's very time consuming).

Good thing is we pretty much have enough of the game translated from the Korean betas to play it in any language.

thats true...i think theres around to 2000 of them (before you factor in different styles) and i only know a few of the common ones you would come across so i guess lets just hope they keep that to a minimum and actually spell things out

Unless they remove the already English parts of the game like "quest success" and stuff, then dbo will get annoying.

i doubt that they would since they do use a bit of english in modern japanese. enough so that they have english subtext on a lot of ads and things like that

Yeah, they do that sometimes in tiny characters above the Kanji. I'm not sure if it's done much in games though.

I guess I shouldn't have used the word "annoying", I meant slightly harder to understand if words that were once in English will no longer be that way. Not for us ofc, but for any newbies who haven't played yet.
