Arale. But only when she was in Dragonball for that short time. I'm fine with her in Dr.Slump where she belongs. I just don't like it when creators bring over characters from works they've done for no apparent reason. Also Piano. Not sure why I don't like him, I just don't.

Well, Yamcha really did start as a very good character. And, very human. He was a character who started as a thief, then became a loyal, honorable fighter. And, I loved most of his design changes.

But, he became pretty useless. This wasn't a problem at first. Many characters are useless. But, he almost seemed like too much of an underdog. An underdog who never got glory. So, he just became loserish. I enjoyed him because, next to Krillin, he was the more normal Human character we had to represent us. And, I really loved playing him in the games, for his use of true kung fu. He had few fireballs, no special effects. Just whoopass skill. But, this all went to waste. Never favored Tien though.

I couldn't care less whether or not a character's fighting so long as they get some character development and happen to be entertaining. For instance, I really like Sari from Transformers Animated, even though she didn't really fight. (until season 3) On top of that, she's human and a kid in a Transformers series, and both humans and kids are known to be annoying in Transformers. The combination of the two is almost always a disaster. But she didn't have to fight to be a character I liked because she had a distinct personality and interesting relationship with the rest of the cast. And she didn't even have to be a giant transforming robot. And while I'm at it, I'll say that I've been enjoying the kids in Transformers Prime, too. Even Miko, whom most people claim is the worst thing that happened to the series.

So even if a character is in an action series and doesn't fight, it doesn't mean that they're any less interesting of a character to me. So long as they're well-developed and aren't really, really irritating, I'm fine with them.

There was a very good reason for it. For one thing, the crossover lasted two chapters. For another, it was adorable. I thought it was so cute to see Arale riding Kinto'un with Goku. Then again, I've probably liked Dr. Slump a little longer than I've liked Dragon Ball, so that's coming from a completely different point of view than the average American reader.

Kid Trunks for being a douche, and Puar for having an annoying voice.

Don't get me wrong there. Despite my overuse of the word "fight," I didn't enjoy him from the beginning because he fought. Also, not the reason why I found him useless later on. His appearances just became more meaningless. He was in the cell games and android saga just to lose Bulma, and get beaten up. But, the fact he started as a cheating thief and became so brave and loyal, was my point. You'll probably strongly disagree on this, but if they made his appearances less frequent over time, and his few appearances... I don't know, cool? I would have enjoyed the character. But, I guess the whole point was for him to be killed off the way he was.

Yadarobe was a cool character, to me. Not that I don't see your point. He didn't get in the way too much.

Ironically, your comment about Yamcha's appearances are exactly what happens with Tenshinhan, yet you stated that you didn't like him either. The handful of times he gets in on the action, he always does something that just makes you go, "Man, that guy sure has dragon balls."

He also cut Cymbal in two and sliced off Vegeta's tail, both of which were incredibly bad@$$ if I do say so myself. He has his moments.
