If we have to make the server ourselves (very difficult) then we wouldn't have any of the character data. If we are given server files then they might give us the database but I don't think we should use it. There will be a ton of inactive character data needlessly taking up space and taking names away from active users, as well as sticking us with the same economy as the current servers. We'd have an easier time managing the server if everyone starts from scratch.

I know people including myself will miss everything I accumilated but I completely agree starting from scratch would make the most sense and cause a lot less issues with setting this up, I don't have it of skills to offer but I will for sure donate every month t keep this game alive.

And it goes just as I excpected : way out off topic. Application messages lost in spam. Anyways I will answer some questions.
1st we won't need new forums, since we have DBOCOM and Citrinate is willing to support us with his knowledge, though he doesn't want to be official member of a team. He gave us this forum section dedicated for DPOPS.
2nd we could get some copyright issues, but game will be dead within a month so who cares? As long as we won't ask money to play this game it will be fine. Pluss nobody will attack us even if we ask some donations to keep it running.
3. Main task now is server decoding. While TW server is running we need to get as much data as we can and decode it so we could start making our server stable.

Hello there I am interested in the project leader position, I am currently working on a games design course and am working on becoming a project leader for my career, I have been playing DBO for a year and a bit, I love the game as it is now but I know just as well how much work it needs to become a great success, hopefully with a proper English translation and Customer support this may become one of the best FTP MMORPGs that is around.
A lot of you probably don't know me from a bar of soap, just to clarify who I am, I have been friends with Luke (Dumke) since '07 and have been talking about having a shared project for a while, I hope I get the chance to help in this project and help make this idea a reality.

Im alright with translations i do use goggle translate but il fix it so it makes sense
Also im currently studying music so i can make some good tunes to fit the game also i can get/make some proper sound for the game animals humans etc
Quick question if you could send me an email or somthing to tell me what sounds to work on first and when
Currently im 5 days away from having a 2 week break from school so i can use that time to get alot of progress done

Hi all, I have the opportunity indeed to acquire a server that is on constantly and administered if necessary, thereafter it is true that it is not free either, and so finally faudrai request right to NTL or Cayenne to obtain the Server and the client data base, a solution that can fix kit?

I think NTL is impossible they gives client database and file servers.. Maybe we can all request with email, we can ask to wasabii.. but not 5-6 guys.. a really raid. But It's a little hard.. We can hope the engineers can decode the game or an hacker who steals files.
